Mid Suffolk

Mid Suffolk is based at the heart of Suffolk and incorporates the towns of Stowmarket and Eye as well as numerous small villages.  It borders the main county town of Ipswich in the south and Norfolk to the north.  The area’s population is around 95,000 people, with around 58,500 of those in employment.

Communication by road in Mid Suffolk is mainly via the dual carriageway A14 as well as the A140 that connects the area to Norfolk.  Stowmarket benefits from fast rail links to London and Norwich.  There are several business parks in Mid Suffolk:

  • Charles Industrial Estate, Stowmarket
  • Tomo Industrial Estate, Stowmarket
  • Lion Barn Industrial Estate, Needham Market
  • Eye Airfield Industrial Estate
